Do you ever feel like you aren’t doing all the things with your life that you want to be doing? And sometimes do you forget that there’s more to life than just housework, preparing meals, and going to work? I think most people feel that way sometimes. Some people may even feel like that most of the time. We tend to jam so much into our lives, but still aren’t doing many of the things that are truly important to us.
I know I’ve felt that way before (I still do sometimes). I have a great deal of things on my plate at all times:
- I am the mother of four children.
- I own an organizing and cleaning business.
- I help care for my aging mother.
- I’ve struggled with illness for many years.
- I’m an active member of my church and try to be involved in it as much as possible.
- I’ve been working on creating this website and blog.
I personally know how hard it is to do all the things in life that I want to do. From just keeping my own home clean, to spending enough time with all of my children, to trying to lose weight and get into shape. I know how difficult it is to fit everything in that we want to or that is important to us.
Sure, some of the areas of my life aren’t as hectic as they once were. Most of my children are grown and out of the house. So I don’t have the same challenges now with them that I once did. But when one area of your life gets easier, another area might become more difficult. I’m not rushing around trying to help manage four little lives on a daily basis anymore, but now I’m trying to establish a “new normal” with my mother. She is coping with complications from a stroke two years ago as well as dealing with the challenges of developing dementia. It is difficult, but I’m not just determined to make it all work- I am determined to make my life better than ever!
This blog and website is intended to be a source of information to help people live a more balanced life and do things in all areas of life; basically, to help people get on track with how they want to be living their lives. This blog will cover strategies that can help you do that.
I also plan on covering topics such as:
- My personal struggles with trying to fit everything in and living a more balanced life.
- Sharing bits and pieces of my life for inspiration and encouragement. I’m just a regular person. If I can do it, you can do it too!
- Challenges that I’ve seen others have, and solutions to those challenges.
- Information on all the areas of life and how to improve each life area.
- Any information about how to save time and money.
- Reviews of books that interest me and relate to any of the life areas.
- Interviews with regular people and experts who can give their take on a specific life area and problems and solutions they have for that area.
